11 outlaws held; cash and weapons recovered

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police on Friday arrested 11 outlaws including nine gamblers from various areas of the city and recovered wine, cash, gambling tools, narcotic and weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said. Following the directions of IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfqar Khan and DIG (Operations) Waqar Uddin Syed, all officials of Islamabad police have accelerated their efforts to curb activities of anti-social elements and drug pushers. On a tip off, Superintendent of Police (Rural) Malik Naeem Iqbal constituted special team under supervision of DSP Qasim Niazi SHO Koral Asjad Mehmood and Sub-Inspector Manzoor along with others to raid at a gambling den. This team raided there and nabbed nine gamblers identified as Rashid Mehmood, Sarjad Ali, Wasif Hussain, Raja Sheriz,Muhammad Shahzad, Chan Mehmood, Zulfqar, Mohsin Ali and Muhammad Shan. Police team d recovered stake money and gambling tools from their possession. While police teams also arrested a drug peddler namely Muhammad Ibrahim and recovered 1080 grams hashish from him. Meanwhile, Ramana police apprehended accused Allah Dad and recovered one SMG rifle and one 9mm Pistol along with ammunition from him. Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further Investigation is underway from them. Our Correspondent
