A special meeting under the chair of Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shah Farman was held at Governor House on Tuesday and decided to constitute an Advisory Committee on Development and Redressal for merged districts headed by Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mehmood Khan.
The Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mehmood Khan was also present in a meeting.
The meeting was also attended by Corp Commander Peshawar Shaheen Mazher Mehmood, all Senators and MNAs from tribal districts,Minister for Information Shaukat Yousafzai, Adviser to CM on merged districts Ajmal Wazir,Chief Secretary Mohammad Salim, IG Police Dr. Mohammad Naeem, Additional Chief Secretary and other concerned officials.
The Advisory Committee comprising all parliamentarians from the merged districts would hold consultation with public representatives from the areas regarding development projects and present its suggestions to the provincial government.
It would have mandate to resolve all issues including holding talks with disgruntled elements through political dialogue.
The meeting briefed parliamentarians from tribal districts about on-going development steps and legal and administrative reforms and 10-year development agenda for these districts.
The advisory committee would prove helpful in resolving all issues amicably in merged districts, the meeting observed.
