ANF seized 3145.15 kg drugs worth rs 2.995 billion

Determined to uproot drug menace from the country and the world, Anti Narcotics Force Pakistan seized 3145.15 Kgs Narcotics valuing Rs. 2.995 Billion internationally, arrested 32 culprits including 2 Ladies and impounded 10 vehicles while conducting 25 counter-narcotic strikes. The seized drugs comprised of 2999.48 Kg Hashish, 99.58 Kg Opium, 39.7 Kg Heroin and 6.39 Kg Amphetamine (Ice).
ANF Quetta while carrying out a successful intelligence led operation at Qilla Abdullah seized 2726 Kg Hashish. According to details, drug was concealed at an uninhabited site located in the general area of Killi Nowrak, Tehsil Gulistan, District Qilla Abdullah. As per preliminary reports, drug was placed at a cache site for handing over to another narcotics gang for further transportation.
ANF Rawalpindi intercepted a Suzuki FX car at Chakwal Morr, main GT Road, Sohawa, Jehlum and recovered 2.4 Kg Hashish which was concealed under the driving seat of the said vehicle. Resultantly two accused identified as Sajid Khan and Iftikhar Khan both residents of Islamabad were arrested during the operation. In another operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested two accused persons namely Abid Khan and his lady accomplice namely Yasmeen both residents of Khyber Agency and recovered 2.4 Kg Hashish from their personal possession. Both were arrested from Golra Mor Bus Stop, GT Road, Islamabad. In third operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested an accused person namely Mumtaz Muhammad resident of Swabi at Islamabad International Airport and recovered 6.390 Kg Amphetamine which was soaked in 3x Sheets placed in his bag. He was boarding Jeddah through Flight No PA-272. In fourth operation, ANF Rawalpindi intercepted a Suzuki Bolan near Tarkai Toll Plaza, Main GT Raod, Jehlum and recovered 75.6 Kg Hashish and 24 Kg Opium which was tactfully concealed in steel roller lying in vehicle and CNG cylinder of the said vehicle. Resultantly two accused identified as Babar Ali and Muhammad Rizwan both residents of Gujranwala were arrested during the operation. In fifth operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested and accused namely Amjad Ali resident of Gujranwala from Dina Bus Stop, main GT Road, Jehlum and recovered 1 Kg Hashish from his personal possession. In sixth operation, ANF Rawalpindi intercepted a Suzuki Bolan near Tarkai Toll Plaza, main GT Road, Jehlum and recovered 6 Kg Hashish which was concealed in Petrol Tank of the said vehicle. Resultantly two accused persons namely Saif Ullah and Farid Ullah both resident of Khyber Agency were arrested during the operation. In seventh operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested a lady smuggler namely Iqra Bibi resident of Peshawar and recovered 5 Kg Hashish from her personal possession. She was arrested from 26 No Chungi Bus Stop, Islamabad.
ANF Lahore arrested Italy National person namely Azhar Mehmood at Faisalabad International Airport and recovered 7 Kg Heroin from his luggage. He was proceeding to Italy via Doha through Flight No QR-625. In another operation, ANF Lahore intercepted a Truck near Motorway Toll Plaza, Sargodha Road, Faisalabad and recovered 5 Kg Heroin & 8.4 Kg Hashish from secret cavities of the said vehicle. Resultantly two accused namely Qasim Khan and Waqar Khan both residents of Peshawar were arrested during the operation.
In third operation, ANF Lahore intercepted a Canada bound parcel from a private cargo office located at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore and recovered 14.4 Kg Heroin which was concealed in 6x cartons. In fourth operation, ANF Lahore arrested an accused identified as Muhammad Ijaz resident of Faisalabad and recovered 3.6 Kg Hashish from his personal possession. He was arrested near new campus of Govt Collage University, Jhang Road, Faisalabad. In fifth operation, ANF Lahore intercepted a Honda Civic Car near Motorway Toll Plaza, Gojra and recovered 57.6 Kg Opium from secret cavities of the said vehicle. Resultantly an accused namely Muhammad Rafiq Khan resident of Peshawar was arrested during the operation.
