Brother wants sister’s killers arrested

PESHAWAR: A resident of Chitral, Latifullah, has demanded the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government and provincial police chief to arrest the killers of his sister.
Addressing a news conference at the Peshawar Press Club on Friday, Latifullah alleged that her sister Ammara was killed allegedly by her husband Inayat and his first wife by feeding her poison in meals.
He said three years ago, Ammara got married to Inayat, a resident of Peshawar. “When his first wife came to know about his second marriage, she started threatening to kill Ammara,” he alleged. In the meanwhile, he said, Ammara gave birth to a baby and went back to her parents’ home. He added that his sister refused to go to her husband’s house.
“During her stay at her parent’s home, Inayat kept on threatening her with dire consequences if she did not hand over the baby to him, which further prompted her to part ways with her husband,” he maintained.
He also alleged that Inayat and his first wife made a plot to bring her back from Chitral on the pretext of reconciliation and then poisoned her to death “He added that he informed the police station and lodged a first information report (FIR) against her husband.
The police nabbed Inayat and sent the body for postmortem, which said that she had been poisoned to death. Latifullah also appealed to the government for the early arrest of Inayat’s first wife in the murder case.
