Supreme Court Judge Justice Gulzar Ahmad while expressing displeasure during hearing of contempt of court case against private schools remarked, there is not even a single drop of shame in the eye of private schools administration adding court can close or nationalize the private schools.
A three-member bench of the SC presided over by Justice Gulzar Ahmad took up the contempt of court case against two private schools for hearing on Monday.
During the course of hearing Justice Gulzar while expressing displeasure over the officials of private schools remarked, “How did you dare to say that the verdict of court was Draconian decision”.
Your written letters to parents of the children are contemptuous, Justice Gulzar remarked.
Justice Gulzar further observed, “What type of things you have written, we can close or nationalize your schools”.
We can ask the government that they should take control of your schools”, Justice remarked. Upon reprimanding of court, counsel of private schools replied, “we seek pardon from the court, and will not do so in the future’. Upon it justice Gulzar observed,” All right, you should file a written apology to court then we will see it”.
Justice Gulzar while inquiring Private schools Counsel remarked, “ you have black or white money? We get audit it, you have made the education as a source of business, schools are not an industry to mint money, there is not even a single drop of shame in the eye of private schools administration”.
Kids come out of private schools by contracting many diseases along with them? Justice observed.
Counsel of private schools replied, “Private schools had no intention of contempt of court and fee has been reduced after implementing court verdict. Justice Gulzar Ahmad further observed that private schools walas have entered in the houses of kids and poured poison.
We cannot even imagine what type of questions are asked from the parents of children by private schools walas ?
How dare they (Private schools) ask such questions from parents? Justice observed. “That school becomes more popular whose fee is more than the other” Justice remarked.
Meanwhile court has adjourned the hearing for two weeks.
