Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan here Thursday directed provincial health department to hold meeting of Search and Nomination Council to formulate Qazi Hussain Ahmed Medical Complex Nowshera (QHAMC) Board of Governor (BoG).
Chairing a meeting of QHAMC at Nowshera, the chief minister also directed to issue a notification of Ministerial Committee comprising three provincial ministers to negotiate with annoyed doctors. He said that Search and Nomination Council would consider five new members for QHAMC BoG that would later also elect chairman of board through balloting.
Provincial health minister Dr. Hasham Inamullah Khan, CM Principal Secretary Shahab Ali Shah, Secretary Healh Dr. Farooq Jameel and Chairman BoG QHAMC along with Managing Director and other concerned staff were present on the occasion.
KP CM was briefed regarding available resources and facilities provided to patients in the hospital. He was also informed about current situation of hospital including performance of CTScan, MRI and Satellite Pharmacy operated by the hospital.
Speaking on the occasion, KP CM Mahmood Khan said that provincial government respect doctor community keeping in view their importance to mitigate the sufferings of ailing community.
He further said that notification of ministerial committee would soon be issued and concerns of doctors would be resolved through negotiations.
KP Chief Minister also directed health department to take steps for prevention of sales of hospital medicine in the markets and proper monitoring of the situation.
