Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, has said that cosmetic and artificial measures cannot help bring about any improvement in the country.
Speaking at the Khatam e Bukhari ceremony of the Darul Uloom here on Sunday.
Sirajul Haq said that the PTI government mostly comprised of persons who had been in the PPP, PML-N and Musharraf government. These people were in favour of status quo and averse to any change for the better. As such, no improvement could be expected with these people in the government.
The JI chief said that for the last seventy years, the same category of people had been in power. These people and a few families were at the helm of the affairs whether the country had civil government or military rule. These were the people and families who were granted Jagirs by the British rulers for their loyalty to the colonial power and for betraying the nation.
These people were responsible for all the ills in the country including poverty, backwardness, unemployment and the energy crisis. They had secured huge loans from banks and then declined to pay on one pretext or the other. They had been amassing wealth while the common man was starving.
Sirajul Haq said that the ruling elite had kept the country from the blessed Islamic system for which it had been created and now it was conspiring for liberalism and secularism in the country. He said the PTI had deceived the people by raising the slogan of Madina state.
The JI chief said that the change the nation desired could be brought about only by the people who were well versed in the knowledge of the holy Quran and Hadith and were practicing Muslims. He said the nation had till now tried all other systems except the Islamic system.
He said the constitution of Pakistan was Islamic in character but it had not been implemented in true sense. He said if the masses supported the JI for an Islamic and prosperous Pakistan, all the problems of the country could be solved.
