The Elementary and Secondary Education Foundation’s Board of Directors meeting was held in Peshawar on Thursday, chaired by Provincial Minister for Primary and Secondary Education Akbar Ayub Khan. The meeting was attended by Secretary Elementary and Secondary Education Nadeem Aslam Chaudhry and members of the Boards.
The meeting discussed in detail the restructuring and management of the organization. Addressing the meeting, the Minister for Education said that a committee will be formed to address the problems of the employees which will consist of five members.in next meeting the committee will present solutions for the employee’s problems on which board members will make the final decision.
He said that a committee of four members will also be constituted for payment of arrears of vouchers and other necessary payments which will be presented at the next meeting final decision. Akbar Ayub Khan said that teachers ‘salaries for girls’ community schools should be at least 20,000 rupees as per legal requirements.
He directed that no extension and new agreements be made until the institution is in restructuring phase, so that we can start afresh with the legal requirements which will enhance our educational quality and the will also create rare opportunities for poorest children of the society to get an education.
Akbar Ayub Khan said that the meeting would be held on a regular basis and the members’ attendance would be ensured. “We want this institute to work fast so that the educational field can be further improved,” he also said.
