First ever election in merged tribal districts in June

PESHAWAR: Elections for the new provincial seats of merged tribal districts in the Khyber Pakthunkhwa Assembly would be held in June this year. Following merger of Fata into Khyber Pakthunkhwa, official sources told APP on Monday that polling for PK 100 to 115 constituencies of the merged tribal districts in Khyber Pakthunkhwa Assembly would be held in last week of June. The election schedule is expected to be issued at the end of current month and RTS system would be used for results of elections. It would be the first occasion when people of merged tribal districts (former Fata) would exercise right of franchise in a free and transparent manner. APP
