Following a marriage scandal under the shadow of an allurement of a pleasant surprise dream to travel to Britain, five members of the same family have ruined the lives of 20 Pakistani girls.
Talking to media in Azad Kashmir Press Club the victims Saima, Kausar, Sumaira Perveen, Sonia Bashir and Keran have allegedly accused that a resident of Halifax, Britain, Mumtaz alias Taja Pahalwan have married 7 girls, his cousin Mohammad Ali 3 , Nazar Ali 5 , Ghazanfer Mahmood 2 and Mohammad Bashir 3.
The swindlers left for London leaving the girls behind in Pakistan. They are also allegedly involved in the drug trade.
To a question that if 18 girls have been married then why only 5 are present here? The girls responded that they are not in contact with the others.
SSP Police Riaz Ahmad Bokhari has said that the affected women have not contacted the police. However he said that police have received the application of Taja Pahalwan in which he termed the allegations of the girls as baseless.
He added that DSP Chaudhry Ansar is probing the case.
