Free eye camp held in Landikotal

KHYBER AGENCY,: Under screening Programme at least one thousand three hundred eye patients were treated in free eye camp held here in Army Public School & College (APS&C), Landikotal on Tuesday.
The activity was organized under the auspices of Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospitals and more than 1300 patients including students’, teachers of the APS&C and army recruits in the cantonment were examined in the camp.345 visitors were provided free eye medicine after thoroughly examination while 143 patients were facilitated with free donation of glasses.
The trust official Col.Usman said that the free eye camp was set up with intension to impart knowledge regarding caring of eye in addition to provide free eye treatment in the remote areas.
He further said that more such kind of free eye curing camps would initiated in Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Landikotal and other areas to provide best treating to the ailing tribal at their door steps.
The visitors of the camp lauded the quality eye cure facilities, provided in the camp and asked for setting up of maximum numbers of free eye camps in the area.
