Imran Farooq Murder case: Court decides to conduct hearing in jail

Islamabad (Online): Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Karachi has decided to conduct hearing of Imran Farooq murder case in jail due to security reasons.
The accused persons will be indicted in Adiala jail on November 24.
The ATC judge Kausar Abbas Zaidi took up the case for hearing Thursday.
During the course of hearing of the case, FIA prosecutor Wasim Ranjha did not appear in the court therefore, all three arrested suspects, including Khalid Shamim, Mohsin and Muazzam Ali could not be indicted.They will be indicted on November, 24 in Adiala jail.
The court while expressing displeasure over lack of progress in the case remarked FIA has not provided intelligence agencies report so far. The relevant officers of the case should appear in the court.
The court while directing the Adiala Jail authorities to complete the arrangements has summoned the witnesses of the case on next hearing.
During the hearing, wife of Muazzam Ali prayed to court 9 months have elapsed since the commencement of case but nothing is known about trial. Due to it her husband is suffering from acute mental agony. It is requested to court that the trial should be held in the presence of his family members.
The court accepted her plea remarking the accused persons will be indicted in the presence of their family members.
The court while giving decision on conducting the trial of the accused Khalid Shamim, Mohsin and Moazzam Ali in jail due to security concerns ordered the respective officers to appear before it on next hearing.
