Day of Independence demands to play exemplary role for national development, prosperity and the defence as well. This day also recalls the supreme sacrifices presented by the Army and Police Shohda. We are also to move ahead hand in hand for achieving the target of Clean and Green Pakistan.
This was stated by National Highway Authority’s Member (North-Zone) Mukesh Kumar while talking at a ceremony arranged at NHA regional office Peshawar for paying tributes to the martyrs of the Army and Police also marked with Independence Day celebrations and Clean and Green Pakistan campaign.
On behalf of Station Commander XI Corps, Major Badar and NHA’s General Manager Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mr. Ghulam Mujtaba Memon also participated. Students of a local school presented national songs. On this occasion saplings were also planted.
In order to pay tributes to shohda portraits of D.I.G Malik Muhammad Saad Khan Shaheed and Capt. Karnal Sher Khan Shaheed were painted at Chamkani Interchange, Peshawar.
