KP police nab over 500 outlaws through record check

KP police checked the record of millions of people through Criminal Record Verification System and nabbed 502 outlaws during the year 2018. According to details, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police has devised a systematic and professional approach to tighten the noose around the neck of hardcore criminals.
Through these steps, police efficiency in connection with verification has been enhanced to a great extent which ultimately led to better recovery interrogation and investigation. Under this system, computerized data about all criminals has been provided to all police stations which is available through simple Criminal Record Verification System (CRVS). Moreover, the record of the criminals is available on phone through SIM service to all police stations, check posts and snap checking points. The Police officials on duty, on these points, directly check the record of criminals by clicking the mobile button.
This step by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police has added to more smart and E-policing and the chances to apprehend the criminals have been increased manifold. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police, along with digitization of FIRs, have issued 276 special SIMs to all district police through which, millions of people were checked and in the process 502 hardcore criminals have been arrested. District Peshawar police arrested 66 Proclaimed offenders through 32 SIMs, Mardan 8 through 18 SIMs, Charsadda 19 through 14 SIMs, Nowshera 2 through 9 SIMs, Swabi 28 through 10 SIMs, Swat 38 through 18 SIMs, Buner 43 through 11 SIMs, Shangla 5 through 8 SIMs, Dir Lower 9 through 14 SIMs, Dir Upper 7 through 9 SIMs, Chitral 1 through 3 SIMs, Abbottabad 164 through 13 SIMs, Haripur 13 through 11 SIMs, Mansehra 5 through 14 SIMs, Battagram 2 through 7 SIMs, Kohat 13 through 13 SIM, Hangu 25 through 6 SIMs, Karak 33 through 10 SIMs, Lakki Marwat 3 through 7 SIMs, DIKhan 15 through 15 SIMs, Tank 3 through 4 SIMs.
The main feature of the system is that all data has been converted to electronic/digital format and all concerned officials have access to it through one click. Similarly, this system can ensure the provision of all important information to the investigation officer about any criminal. Likewise, all district and regional police officers have been linked with each other through this system and thus ensure timely sharing of needed vital information amongst different investigation teams.
This step by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police has added to more professional and smart policing in the province.
