MCE Risalpur and UET Peshawar signed three-year MOU

MoU, aimed to facilitate exchange of information and joint research would also explore possibilities for a new degree and professional development programs

University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar and Military College of Engineering,(MCE) Risalpur signed a three-year memorandum of understanding to further mutual goals of academic and research opportunities for the students and faculty. Vice Chancellor UET, Peshawar Engr. Prof Dr. Noor Muhammad and Dean Military College of Engineering, Risalpur, Brig Dr. Sarfaraz Ali, and signed the MOU. Major General Muhammad Ajmal ,Principal and Commandant, MCE, Risalpur was present on the occasion.
Engr. Prof.Dr. Noor Muhammad said, the agreement caps on a strong coordination of UET Peshawar with research and academic military institutions. The MoU, aimed to facilitate exchange of information and joint research would also explore possibilities for a new degree program and professional development programs.
Brig. Dr. Sarfaraz Ali, said the Military College of Engineering, Risalpur was established by the Pakistan Army in 1948. As campus of NUST, it is one of the prestigious institutes of engineering especially, Civil and Aeronautical Engineering in Pakistan.
Dr. Khan Shahzada, President Engineering University Teachers Association (EUTA) and Associate Professor, Civil Engineering Department, UET Peshawar said, both UET and MCER have well-established disciplines in the field of engineering which have produced renowned engineers/professionals serving across the country. The agreement contributes further to the mutual understanding between both institutions. The MoU was signed in the presence of representatives from both institutions.
