Minister announces labor colony, dispensary, water supply for coal mine workers

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Minerals Dr Amjad Friday announced labor colony, dispensary and ambulance and water supply for coal mine workers in merged district Orakzai. During his first official visit to district Orakzai, the minister was flanked by MNA from the area Sajid Khan where they listened to the problems of the mine workers. Addressing the labours, the Minister said the PTI government is implementing labour friendly policy and would not allow exploitation of labour at any place or in any shape, adding the government would set up labour colony and dispensary in for mine workers in Orakzai besides providing them water supply and ambulance facilities. He said that the government would also provide protection to the labours and would resolve all their problems. He said the government was taking incentives to attract investors in mineral sectors to general revenue. Meanwhile, Chairman Standing Committee for Mineral MPA Azizullah directed officials of Mineral and police to refrain from creating problems for local people and miner workers in the name of tax collection.
