NAB files references against ex officials of NTS

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Rawalpindi filed Reference against Harron Rashid, Ex CEO, Tahir Maqbool Khakwani, Ex Additional Director, NTS, Waqar Sami, Ex company Sectary,Faiz Ul Akbar, Ex Additional Director Ops, NTS, Kamil Ahmad, M Javaid, Ex Regional Head , Yaqoob Jan, Dy Director NTS, Imran khan, Ex Regional Head of National Testing Service (NTS).
As per details, some unscrupulous elements in the top management of Nation Testing Service (NTS) has been found involved in corruption and corrupt practices and is intentionally playing with the future of the candidates. They are involved in mal administration and financial irregularities and have caused loss of more than158 Millions to the organization.
The accused persons in connivance with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of NTS Mr. Haroon Rashid, has recruited fake consultants through the regional heads for misappropriating/ embezzling huge chunks of amounts from NTS funds and have used these amounts for personal gains / benefits. The accused with his accomplices manipulated the payments of false claims of factitious consultancy through bank cheques and proceeds of these cheques were received in cash by the accused persons for their personal uses.
During the course of inquiry, it was revealed that the accused in connivance with other accused accomplice manipulated the payment of false claims through cheques issued in the name of false consultants. After realization of proceeds of cheques, in the account of the above said false consultants, the part of the amount in question was received back by him in cash through respective regional heads.
Director General NAB Rawalpindi Irfan Naeem Mangi said that NAB hopes that joint efforts of all stakeholders can collaborate to check corruption and corrupt practices before happening with the help of all stakeholders.
