Special patrolling vehicles and staff have been deputed to brief commuters regarding road safety and maintain free flow of traffic on weekends.

Special arrangements in order to cope with the extraordinary rush of vehicles due to weekend
On the directions of Dr. Syed Kaleem Imam Inspector General National Highways and Motorway Police special patrolling vehicles and staff have been deputed to brief commuters regarding road safety and maintain free flow of traffic on weekends.
As per directions of Dr. Syed Kaleem Imam IG NH&MP the officers of Motorway Police distributed Road safety pamphlets regarding seat belt, help line 130, use of helmet etc among the commuters on all Tall Plazas of Motorways.
All the SSPs and DSPs remained on the road to supervise the campaign. Special duties were arranged and extra patrolling vehicles were deployed on patrolling to lend maximum help to the road users especially in the context of weekend rush.
The officers were asked to lend maximum help to distressed road users and make a prompt response to Helpline 130 calls.
IG NH&MP directed the officers to make special arrangements in order to cope with the extraordinary rush of vehicles due to weekend.
The officers were asked to check the overloading and overcharging by the Public Service Vehicles and to ensure that the passengers do not jeopardize their safety by travelling on the roof of the buses.
