Passing out parade of recruits and Lower school course was held at police line headquarters Islamabad. Chief Guest was Minister of State for Interior Shehryar Khan Afridi. This was 32nd passing out of Recruits, while 17th for police officials completing lower school course.
Federal Minister of State while addressing Jawans of Islamabad Police mainly focused on their responsibilities in combating crime in the capital. He has maintained that nobody is above the law and the writ of the state will be the order of the day. The recent launched grand operation against the drug and land mafia by ICT Police under the leadership of IGP Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan is highly commendable. ICT Police has crossed all those barriers of un touchable and held them accountable for the wrong doings.
He emphatically said that nobody will go scot-free if he would connive with criminals that are drug and land grabbing mafia. The future of this generation will be saved from these hardcore criminals. The prime Ministers meeting with IGP Islamabad and approval of all demands is a manifestation of current Govt commitment in making Islamabad a crime free city.
The current Govt resolve against drug barons and land grabbing mafia is unfettered and will be continued till the end. The MOS stressed ICT Police to respect citizens either approaching at Nakas, Police Stations and Traffic. In addition ICT Police should flourish community oriented relationship with the citizens of Islamabad. This impeccable relationship with the community will bring about a dramatic change in the Capital. He particularly light the diversity in Islamabad Police, which is a hallmark of federation.
This will also ensure maintenance of order and writ of the State. The MOS highly appreciated IGP Islamabad and reposed full confidence on his shoulders.
The IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan thanked MOS for taking interest in addressing issues of Islamabad Police. The IGP maintained that the MOS regular visit on police events inspite of his heavy commitment ICT Police moral is boosted and feeling honored/ownership. The IGP maintained that Islamabad Police will implement vision of the Govt and will make all vigorous endeavors in making Islamabad Police as a role model for the whole country. The IGP specially expressed deepest gratitude to the Prime Minter of Pakistan for approving all of the demands made by Islamabad Police.
This will strengthen the capacity of police and would assure qualitative policing. Prime Minster enhancement of Shuhada package at par with the rest of the provinces is recorded in the annals of the history. The IGP assured MOS that Islamabad Police will go all out in eradication of drugs, land grabbing mafia. In its sheer commitment and resolve ICT Police will not leave any stone unturned. He further assured MOS that Islamabad Police will maintain respect and dignity of the citizens.
