Rs69.52m free medicines provided to patients in KTH: Spokesman

As many as 707675 patients were examined and Rs69.52 million free medicines provided to the patients in the first six months of the year of 2019 in KHyber Teaching Hospital Medical Teaching Insitution (KTH-MTI) .A spokesman for the hospital sharing six month report of the KTH said that 731094 various investigations were carried out in pathology department. There are about 35 different units with various specialties, 1300 bedded and 41 major operation rooms functional in this hospital, working round the clock providing best health services to the patients, he added.
Giving statistical data of the hospital from January 01 to June 30 2019 he said that the Accident & Emergency Department received 397867 patients, similarly 309808 patients received in various OPDs, 45530 patients admitted in various units, 17483 major operations carried out in different OTs, 731094 investigations carried out in pathology lab, 26510 total blood issued to various patients,10055 patient visited Physiotherapy Department, 106491 dialysis caried out, 67235 different procedures like EEG, ECG, Echo, ETT, and Audiology, Bronchoscopy (Chest) Lithotripsy, Eye, Dental, Endoscopy & Skin carried out 69952 ultrasound carried out in Radiology Department, 77906 X-Rays, 7440 CT Scan carried out in Radiology Department, and 2394 MRI Scan carried out in Radiology Department.
