Security arrangements for the worship places will be improved: CCP Peshawar

Capital City Police Officer Mohammad Tahir has assured security of worship places, including mosques, imam bargahs and churches and other places as per the security needs and requirements. Talking to a delegation of Imamia Jirga, he said that security arrangements for the worship places will be further improved to ensure peace in Peshawar.
Mohammad Tahir Khan said that maintaining peace and protecting the lives and properties of the public is the responsibility of police and claimed that the force was doing its job efficiently.
Led by Sardar Sajjad and Farzand Ali Khan, the members of the Imamia Jirga assured the official of their complete support in maintaining peace on holy occasions.
CCPO said that cops had been directed to cooperate with the general public during their visit to police stations. He said that addressing the genuine problems of the people without any delay was the duty of police which they were doing with devotion.
The Imamia Jirga leaders presented suggestion to the officials for maintaining law and order in Peshawar. The official asked them to nominate a focal person for their committee who would be in contact with the police.
He informed them that maintaining peace in the city was the responsibility of all citizens.
