Shahji Gul says Fata would be merged in KP

LANDIKOTAL (INP): Fata parliamentarian from NA-45 on Tuesday said that tribal people would soon hear a good news as the government has decided to replace the British left draconian Frontier Crimes Regulation (FCR) and merge it in Khyber Pakkhtunkhwa.
Speaking to a gathering of joining ceremony here MNA Shahji Gul Afridi said that after the years long struggle for the drastic changes in FCR brought fruit. He said Fata parliamentarians have played an important role to help give constitutional right to the people of Fata. Gul said Tribal people rendered sacrifices for the sake of peace and security in Pakistan.
“Gone are days when people feel fear while traveling in Khyber Agency as militancy had severely suffered the whole nation”, said Shahji Gul Afridi. He said Shalmani,Shinwari,Mulagori and Afridi tribepeople stood against militants and defeated it with all its shapes.
Lamenting over the poor performance of the former parliamentarians from NA-45, Shahji Gul asked Landikotal residents that do not support those who were living in Islamabad and consider parliament as inherited to them from their forefathers.
Gul said work on all incomplete developmental projects including long awaited Shalman water scheme would soon be started in the near future. He said dozens of ghost teachers and other government employees who were doing jobs abroad while drawing salaries in Pakistan were dismissed.
Shahiji Gul said that homework was completed to conduct Local Body elections in Fata in early 2017.
He said that for the first time Fata would be given money in the coming National Finance Commission
Meanwhile, 2,000 former Ahle Sunnat Waljumat workers and leaders hailing from different villages in Landikotal join Karwan-e-Alhaj and pledged support in the coming elections.
Earlier, MNA Shahi Gul inaugurated 1580 million rupees different developmental projects in Jamrud tehsil in Khyber Agency.
