Those not respecting my judges don’t deserve for any relaxation: CJP

Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar has ordered to dispose of all pending cases related to Model Town Lahore incident in Lahore High Court (LHC) within two weeks besides making Baqar Najafi Report a part of judicial record.
CJP had taken the suo moto notice on delay in provision of justice to the affectees of Model Town Lahore incident.
A 2-member bench of SC Lahore registry presided over by CJP Mian Saqib Nisar took up the suo moto case of Model Town incident for hearing here on Saturday.
Prosecutor General Punjab presented the record of both the cases and the prosecution to the court at the inception of hearing.
CJP inquired from Prosecutor General Punjab that “Is there any order regarding the summoning of Nawaz Sharif and other political figures in ATC’’?
Prosecutor General informed the court that the summon notices have not been issued in default of any evidence against them.
During the hearing of the case SC cancelled the leave of the judge of Anti- terrorism court Ejaz Awan and ordered him to conduct the hearing on day to day basis.
CJP remarked on this occasion that we will not take any step beyond law and those who do not respect my judges deserves for no relaxation.
This is to mention here that Police had conducted an operation to remove the encroachments in front of the residence of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri on 17th June 2014.
As many as 14 persons including women were killed as a result of police operation and resistance of PTI members while many people had sustained injuries.
JIT was constituted by Punjab government to probe into the incident and its report has also been made public.
