Tribal MPAs protest against ignoring merged districts in uplift plans

The ruckus mars the provincial assembly proceedings on Monday as the members from the tribal merged districts belonging to the opposition benches protested what they claimed of ignoring the merged areas by in their development programs.
The tribal MPAs complained the government despite promising to develop the hitherto neglected tribal areas, have done nothing till date to this effect.
“We are being constantly ignored in all the uplift plans as well as we are not being provided opportunity to even express ourselves at the floor of the assembly,” ANP MPA from Mohmand Nisar Khan Mohmand stood on a point of order and told the chair.
He said they are being deprived of their legal right in the assembly. The MPA was followed by his other colleagues from the merged areas who supported his contentions and resorted to tearing down copies of the assembly agenda in front of Speaker dice.
In the Meanwhile, the House passed “KP Government Rest House and Tourism Property (Development, Management and Regulation) Bill, 2020” and “KP Panaghah Bill, 2020” moved by Senior Minister Atif Khan.
The tribal MPAs blocked the smooth sailing of the session being chaired Abdul Salam from Panel of Chairman who adjourned the House amid uproar to meet again on till 2 p.m. of Tuesday afternoon.
