Unscheduled loadsheding affect supply of water to lockdown people

Unscheduled load shedding seriously affected/suspended the supply of water for drinking purpose to the locked down people at their homes in Dadu city.
Five to six hours long load shedding seriously affected the different parts of city like Gharaibabad, Mazdoorabad, Mallah Chownk, Pir Bux colony, workshop mohalla, college road, Najam colony, Chhano Shahabad and in union councils-I,II, III and IV of Dadu town and its surrounding areas.
Due to load artificial shedding, the supply of water remained suspended to the town and it created worst crises of water supply. Citizens appealed to the Prime Minister Imran Khan to direct chairman WAPDA, federal ministry WAPDA for taking serious action Chief Executive Officer SEPCO and officials of SEPCO of circle Dadu and direct them to ensure supply of power without carrying out artificial or unscheduled load shedding.
While, detection bills were also issued to the citizens in Dadu city to cover the line losses.
Sajan Mallah resident of Mallah chownk complained that as soon as locked down started, the supply of water remained suspended to the area. He said that it was duty of PHE-Public Health Engineering department and Municipal Committee Dadu to supply the water for drinking purpose to the citizens but the officials of TMA and PHE Dadu also were not attending the calls of citizens.
He said that rich people were purchasing the clean and purified water/mineral water but poor people were not able to purchase the mineral water. He said that completely area was under grip of serious shortage of drinking water. He said that DC Dadu and other responsible officers were not taking steps to ensure the supply the water to the citizens.
Resident of Chhano Shahabad Mohalla, Ali Mohammad complained that the supply of power was continued from 132 KV gird station but local line superintendents and linemen of SEPCO officials were cutting the supply to different areas at feeders through de-fitting which had caused the problem of water supply in city. He said that local officials of SEPCO were demanding bribe from citizens to supply the power hence this tactics of none supply of power was started.
However, the water supply units run by PHE-Public Health Engineering and Municipal Committee were also stopped at five different places due to unscheduled/unannounced load shedding in Dadu city and its surrounding areas.
Speaking with this reporter on mobile cell executive, engineer SEPCO operation division Dadu, Tajmal Baig said that city was announced free of load shedding due to locked down. He said that owing to necessary repair work, the officials have stop supply for one hour. He said that at power supply feeder of rural areas, after every 4 hours, they have to supply power for hours and have to stop power for four hours and rotation of power will be continued. He said that power was supplying to water supply schemes of PHE and municipal committee in a proper way.
