Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan has said that he would not confine to his home district Swat like the previous chief ministers of the province.
He would represent the whole of the province and protect the rights of all areas of the province adding that the development and mainstreaming of the seven new districts was among his priority areas. We have completed our homework and identified different priority areas in the 100 day plan to work in for the next five years.
He criticized the previous rulers for doing nothing during the 70 years history of the country. He was particularly critical of the breaking of begging bowl sloganeering of PML–N and the so called nationalist force for exploiting the Pashtoon nation adding that the political elite plundered the national resources and PTI challenged the corrupt system of the past through mass mobilization and the people supported PTI. We have gradually moving towards the new Pakistan.
Talking about the resolution of education, health, gas & electricity related problems of district Karak on war-footing, he assured to soon inaugurate the oil refinery and the dualization of road from Peshawar to D.I.Khan. He also announced Rs. 20 lac for Press Club Karak and Rs. 10 lac for Karak Bar.
He was addressing a public gathering and Karak Bar during his day long visit to district Karak. MNA Shahid Khattak, Provincial Spoke Person Ajmal Khan Wazir and District President PTI Maj. Sajjad also addressed the gathering. Imtiaz Shahid Qureshi, Malik Qasim, Farid Toofan, General Secretary PTI Azmat Khattak, representatives of ISF, district administration officials and media persons also participated in the public gathering.
Welcoming the local leader of ANP Sajjad to the fold of PTI, the Chief Minister said Mr. Sajjad of ANP made a wise decision. The Chief Minister threw lights on the developmental strategy and policies of his government adding that when he took over as Chief Minister of the province, he made up his mind not to be the Chief Minister of the Swat alone but would represent the whole of the province and would protect the rights of all people of the province.
This is what the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan is and he kept on advising him to work for the down trodden people of the province. He said with the beaming face that he took the challenge of the otherwise hard task for the merger of seven new districts of the erstwhile FATA and assured to do justice to all districts.
His presence in district Karak and among the people is a clear manifestation of the new era of people’s governance in the province. He had already sketched out the targets to the achieved in the next five years. This a strategy that the previous government totally ignored but they concentrated on the loot and plunder of national resources.
Back in 1997, Nawaz Sharif announced to break the begging bowl and launched a sloganeering to pay back the loan and reconstruct the country wherein the poor of the country put their shares but after that nobody knew anything about the accumulated money.
Mahmood Khan said that the previous PTI government introduced reforms. The previous Chief Minister Pervez Khattak had the sagacity how to run a coalition government and worked in reforms in education, health, police and other sectors and made appointments on merit.
The present government would further streamline the governance system and we have the wherewithal to lead this province towards sustained economic growth. He announced the Prime Minister will soon inaugurate the oil refinery in Karak. He revealed the dualization of road from Peshawar to D.I.Khan which has already been approved and assured the establishment of a college, Upgradation of district headquarters hospital and other demands rose in the welcome address.
The petroleum institute has already been approved and the feasibility of the 21 small dams in Karak have already been completed which would be constructed in the next five years. He also assured to start new schools in the rented buildings in Karak. He reminded the audience that he had already held meetings about gas & electricity related problems. We have completed our homework and a countrywide crackdown against the power theft was round the corner. He underlined the need for the Upgradation of transmission lines of PESCO.
