At least 11 people including women and children were sustained serious injuries after their van turned to turtle within the jurisdiction of Buxapur police station on Thursday afternoon. The incident took place at Indus highway.
Patrolling police said that Kandhkot bound van was on its way to Kashmore when it reached at Sattarabad it met to accident resultantly 11 people including Mashqool Ahmed, Rahim Bux, Abdul, Ranu, Yaro Mal, Razaque, Mai Devi, Masmat and others got serious injuries. Later rescue teams and police rushed to spot and shifted them to DHQ hospital for treatment.
However five of them were referred to Larkana hospital for their critical condition. Police said that it was happened because of over speeding and reckless driving. No case was lodged into this matter.
It is worthy to mention here that due to dereliction of duty, mismanagement and corruption district administration has completely failed to provide rescue and emergency services to citizens of Kashmore. However citizans of Kashmore facing severe hardship owing to , non availability of rescue, civil defense and other emergency services, here a question arises that whether citizens of district Kashmore have no right for any relief and protection to their precious lives as they have been deprived of rescue service and centre. Even (DDMA) District Disaster Management Authority is not functional having no any hotline number to be contacted in time of any emergency or incident. Whereas the people of rural areas have never been heard of these services centres, rescues and civil defense.
