2060 infected, 42 lost lives due to COVID-19 in 24 hours

ISLAMABAD: 2,060 infections were reported and 42 people lost lives due to COVID-19 during 24 hours in the country. As per the NCOC statistics, 44,958 tests were taken of which 2060 returned positive. The tally of confirmed cases has reached the level of 1,236,888. The country’s COVID-19 positivity rate now stands at 4.58%. As many as 427583 cases have been reported in Punjab so far, 454510 in Sindh172766 in KP, 32837 in Balochistan, 10289 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 104913 in Islamabad and 33990 in Azad Kashmir.
With the recent fatalities of 42 people the tally of deaths has soared to 27524 in the country. 12535 fatalities have occurred in Punjab so far, 7327 in Sindh, 5488 in KP, 910 in Islamabad, 346 in Balochistan, 184 in Gilgit-Baltistanand 734 in Azad Kashmir.

1,157,322 people have already recovered. 4267 patients are stated to be in critical condition. Active number of cases stand at 52,042
At least 76,141,484 doses of COVID vaccines have been administered so far in the country. .
