Police during last eight months, in different operations, have arrested 3,055 wanted criminals and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition in Peshawar, said a two quarters police report.
According to a statement issued from SSPOperation Yasir Afridi office, during the ongoing year, in the light of SSP Operation Yasir Afridi, police in Peshawar have apprehended thousands of criminals involved in various crimes.
It said that during the first eight months of this year, thousands of other criminals, including 3055 wanted in various serious crimes, have been arrested and 38 hand grenades, 448 Kalashnikovs have been seized.
338 rifles, 371 short guns, 4928 pistols and more than 486,000 different bore cartridges have been alos been recovered in various operations.
According to details, a special crackdown on anti-social elements is underway on the special directive of SSP Operation to make Peshawar a cradle of peace, without any discrimination.
