ISLAMABAD: Adviser to Prime Minister for Commerce and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood has announced that Pakistan Pavilion received 55,000 visitors in just the opening week of the Expo 2020 in Dubai. While making an announcement on Twitter, Dawood said, “The response we received was overwhelming and the number of visitors we had in the first week surpassed expectations.” “As mentioned earlier, Pakistan is a wonderful country that has largely been misrepresented. However, at Expo 2020, we are here to show the real Pakistan to the world,” he further said. TLTP
He thanked all the visitors for coming to the Pakistan Pavilion and exhibiting their interest in Pakistan’s culture and appreciating the richness and diversity it holds. “It is a country with great opportunities for tourism and investment,” he added.
He also thanked the artists for their creativity and skills which showcased actual Pakistan to a broader audience.
The much-awaited Expo 2020 in Dubai, which the organisers promised to be the “greatest show on Earth”, finally kicked off on October 1 — a year late due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but from the first look it is definitely worth the wait. Much to the organisers’ delight, Pakistan’s pavilion is receiving resounding attention from the moment it was opened.
