LAHORE/CHAKWAL: At least eight people including two women were killed and 29 others sustained injuries in two separate accidents here on Tuesday According to details, at least three persons including two women were killed and nine others injured when a passenger bus plunged off a bridge in Kot Qazi district of Chakwal. The bus was on way to Mansehra from Karachi and met the accident due to over speeding, police said. According to rescue sources, the bus plunged off the bridge after brake failure while taking a U-turn due to speeding. The deceased were identified as Aqeel Khan, Bushra Bibi and another woman. The injured were shifted to Kot Qazi Rural Health Centre (RHC) and later they were shifted to Tehsil Headquarter Hospital. The deceased belonged to Karachi and Mansehra In a separate accident, at least five persons were killed and 20 wounded as a mini truck loaded with milk overturned in Raiwind Road in Lahore on Tuesday. The mishap happened due to speeding on the slippery road. Rescue teams shifted the injured and bodies to Tehsil Headquarter (THQ) hospital in Raiwind and general hospital where five of the wounded were said to be in critical condition.
