AKJ govt starts on finance secretary’s appointment

A tug of war started between federal and Azad Kashmir government on Sunday on the slot of Finance Secretary Azad Kashmir as instead of passing several weeks an appointment of AJK’s finance secretary could not be done.
Finance secretary’s appointment facing delay since Finance Secretary of AJK Sadiq Malik was retired on February 12. According to sources establishment division wants to appointment senior officers from KP for Secretary Finance’s slot while Minister for Kashmir Affairs Chaudhry Muhammad Barjees Tahir and Asif Karmani is striving to appointment a senior bureaucrat from Punjab, however AJK government has kept silent in this regard.
Sources added that Prime Minster Farooq Haider has also reservations over the name of Finance Secretary‘s slot.
The summery could not be transmitted to PM Nawaz Sharif so far in this regard.
Sources further added that when tried to contact spokesperson of AJK’s government then he avoided to talk in this regard.
It is vital to mention here that until new appointment is not done Chief Secretary Azad Kashmir will hold additional charge thereof.
