SC moved for enforcement of presidential system in country

ISLAMABAD : A constitutional petition has been filed in Supreme Court (SC) for enforcement of presidential system in the country.

The petitioner has taken the plea in the constitutional petition that parliamentary system has failed in the country. Therefore, the orders be issued for implementing parliamentary system in the country.
The court was requested to issue order to the Prime Minister (PM) to hold referendum in connection with presidential system in the country. Presidential system is indispensable for the protection of fundamental rights of the people. In parliamentary system , the members of parliament blackmail the government for their personal interests. A nominal legislation cannot be enacted in the event of lack of quorum.
President, PM, all the four provincial governments, election commission of Pakistan and Gilgit-Baltistan government have been made respondents in constitutional petition.
