KARACHI : A yarn warehouse and a textile mill were gutted in two separate fire incidents in Karachi on the night between Monday and Tuesday.
According to media reports in the first incident, the fire broke out in yarn godown located in Gulbai area of Karachi. Seven fire brigade vehicles reached the spot and brought the fire under control after a hectic effort of four hours.
In the second incident, fire erupted in a textile mill located in Site Seamen Chourangi. Three fire brigade vehicles reached the spot and brought the fire under control.
According to rescue sources, no loss of life was reported in both incidents. However, yarn and cloth and other valuables worth millions of rupees were gutted by the blaze.
