ISLAMABAD : Stringent security measures on the eve of appearance of Maryam Nawaz in the court in connection with hearing of appeal plea against conviction in Aven Field reference has led to exchange of bitter remarks between employees and security personnel besides bringing the business activities to a halt.

Stern security measures were taken around Islamabad High Court (IHC) on the occasion of appearance of Maryam Nawaz, daughter of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday. Heavy contingents of police, Rangers CTD and FC were deployed. All the roads from all sides to court were blocked. The blockage of roads not only earned ire from the government employees, lawyers and citizens but also brought the business activities to halt.

The lawyers had to park their vehicles one kilometre away from designated car parking site. This act exposed the lawyers to heavy downpour. The canteen of high court was also shut. Security personnel did not allow the persons wearing black coats to enter into the premises of the court.
The journalists were also allowed to enter into court after harsh scrutiny process.
