ISLAMBABAD : NAB has filed petition in Islamabad High Court (IHC) challenging former Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif bail in Avenfield reference.
NAB has taken plea in the petition that Nawaz Sharif is convict and absconder, therefore, his bail be cancelled. Nawaz Sharif misused the concession of suspension of his conviction and bail granted to him. He remains no more entitled to this concession after he has gone abroad.
It may be mentioned that IHC had suspended conviction of Nawaz Sharif in Avenfield reference in 2018 and accepted his bail plea.
NAB had resorted to Supreme Court against the IHC decision while the apex court had upheld IHC decision
NAB has now filed petition in IHC seeking cancellation of bail granted to Nawaz Sharif.
