The 9th International Conference on Construction in The Twenty First Century (CITC9) started at Hilton Jumeirah Beach Resort Dubai, said a message received here on Tuesday.
The Conference was jointly organized East Carolina University jointly with City University Pakistan and other leading Universities of US.
The three-day Conference was being attended by more than 100 delegates from different parts of the world to share their research work with the participants. On first day, the delegates visited the construction projects of Shiekhani group at Jumeirah Village and Fatima group at Mayedan areas.
At the inaugural ceremony, the Conference Chair Prof. SM Ahmed from ECU and Mr. SaburSethi from City University welcomed the delegates. In three days conference more than 70 research papers were presented by delegates.
The construction industry of UAE is one of the fast growing one in the world. It is expected that the Conference will bring more experience and collaboration to construction industry, said the University’s Vice Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Attaullah Shah.
The delegates thanked the City University for its hospitality and arranging the event in a befitting manner.
