HASSAN ABDAL : Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has said he wants Pakistan becomes such a country which should not need to extend hand before any one for loans ever.
“When I came to power the country was mired in debts. National economy is moving forward after a lot of time. ML-1 will have a big contribution towards spurring the economic activities ”, he said this while addressing inauguration ceremony of upgradation of Hassan Abdal railway station here Friday.
The system left behind by the Britons was curtailed rather than expanding it, he said. The fastest mode of traveling in China is railway. The 9 billion rupees investment is the largest of all investment in Pakistan. We held talks with China and got it reduced. Now ML-1 will be constructed at the cost of Rs 6 billion. This is whopping amount. Special underpasses will be constructed for ML-1. This will benefit our economy. It will take only 7 hours for travelling between Karachi to Lahore through ML-1.
He underlined ML-1 will be a vital step towards self-reliance. This will generate employment opportunities as well as facilities for the people.
He remarked economy has now started rising and is moving ahead on fast track basis.
In new Pakistan all are equal citizens no matter what faith and religion they are having, he reiterated. By constructing Kartarpur Corridor, It was our endeavor that facilities are generated for Sikh community. The Mecca and Madina of Sikh community is in Pakistan. We want to help Sikh community.
“I want Pakistan becomes such a country wherein people come from outside for tourism. If we develop tourism only then we will feel no need to get loans from IMF or any other country.
PM inaugurated Hassan Abdal Railway station and reviewed state of the art facilities provided in the coaches . Federal railway minister Sheikh Rashid and Murad Saeed also were present on the occasion.
