LAHORE: Two more incidents of sexual violence against children surfaced in Punjab province on Tuesday. According to details, a five-year-old boy was allegedly subjected to sexual abuse in Faisalabad’s Pathanwala neighbourhood, said police. The suspected culprit managed to flee after sexually abusing the minor. The police said they have registered a first information report (FIR) against the accused. In a separate incident, a seven-year-old boy was subjected to sexual abuse in Lahore’s Shahdra. A suspect has been arrested and a first information report of the incident registered, police said. A few weeks earlier, a 10-year-old boy staying at a hostel was allegedly raped by a teacher in Bahawalpur district. According to police, the incident occurred in the suburb area of Ahmadpur East, where a teacher is blamed for allegedly sexually assaulting a child at a hostel. The police shifted the child to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital (THQ) for medical examination, besides registering a case against the accused. Incidents of sexual assault with minor boys have been reported in the country during the past weeks, besides action being launched by the authorities to curb such incidents.
