RAWALPINDI, November 30 (online): A new food market for fast foods has been approved in Rawalpindi.
Decision has also been taken to activate this market within 6 months. This market will be constructed on Banni market of municipal corporation in Banni chowk. Current Banni market will be completely demolished and in new building, the basement and ground floor will be allocated for commercial parking plaza, other two floors will be allocated for commercial offices whereas 3rd and 4th floor will be for nice-looking and decorated food market.
The feasibility of this Mega project has been prepared and Government will bear all the expenses and it will be the joint venture of Metropolitan Municipal Corporation and district administration.
Due to this project the parking problem of Banni Chowk, Jamiah Masjid Road, Kohati Bazar, Saidpur Road, Junglat Road will be permanently solved.
Federal Parliamentary Secretary Sheikh Rashid Shafiq has told that this is the ideal location for food market and there will be shops of all types of foods of different cities.
Foolproof security arrangement will be made in this market. Working on this project will be started in the end of coming month.
