ISLAMABAD, Dec 24 (Online): Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmad has claimed that opposition will take part in Senate polls.
“ it is my political experience that opposition will take part in Senate polls. The root cause of anarchy is Maulana Fazlur Rehman. PPP is playing well and it is making preparations for by polls. It will participate in Senate election. He should be compassionate on country, politics and himself. Maulana Fazl is at the top of list of the 20 politicians who are at the target of terrorists” he said this while talking to media men here Thursday. .
He held that case was registered against those who had informed Benazir Bhutto about life threat. Lest case should be registered against me in future.
He told the media men that passport will be issued to the poor people for 10 years against the fee of Rs 3000. We have taken historical decisions regarding passport. We are going to issue new passport from April 28. Official and red passport has not been changed. Middle East bound people will be issued passport for 10 years.
The visa facility will be further eased for the Chinese working in CPEC projects, he pointed out.
He stated that 64 government officers who are overstaying in other countries will be called within 120 days.
He held that cabinet had made him incharge of ECL committee. Other than those involved in crimes will be removed from black list. There are about 100000 people who are placed in black list and the number will be reduced to the level of 25000.
He remarked Prime Minister (PM) has not issued any directives to welcome PDM.
