At least eight people including a woman and minor children were killed after a group of jalbani clan opened fire at a house of katohar family within the jurisdiction of gharri khairo police source said.
According to various reports, the tragic incident took place in village of kallu katohar district jacobabad when armed people from jalbani clan opened indiscriminate firing on a family of katohar resulted the six ill – fated family members namely Mohammad Bachal katohar 55, Ghulam Sarwar katohar 32, masmat morzadi, shahban 6, Abdul Jabbar 1 and Raja were killed on the spot.
After killing them they were managed to escape from the scene freely. Later local police rushed to spot and removed the bodies to DHQ hospital for autopsy.
In retailation the people of katohar tribe also attacked at jalbani community in district shahdadkot village Noor Mohammad jalbani which claimed to more lives identified Mohammad bux jalbani and Mumtaz jalbani. Local police said that the situation has been brought under control while the entire area has been cordoned off to nab the accused involved in attack.
Police further said that it is reported that the recent killing incident between jalbani and katohar tribes are because of tribal fued. No case was registered till filling of this report.
