ISLAMABAD : The show cause notice issued to PML-N leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi for threatening to hurl shoes on speaker National Assembly (NA) Asad Qaisar has been shelved.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has neither bothered to give reply to show cause notice nor has he extended apology. On the other hand NA speaker did not bother to inform the house on the matter of non giving reply by Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.
According to NA sources PML-N senior vice president threw the notice issued BY NA Speaker in dustbin. He has not given reply to show cause notice despite lapse of one and half month. NA secretariat also kept mum over the matter instead of initiating any proceedings.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi was neither suspended nor was the house informed about it,.
Abbasi was issued notice on April 21 for threatening NA speaker to hurl shoes. He was to give reply within seven days. But he has not given any reply so far.
Sources said that Speaker NA has not issued any directives to the NA secretariat for launching any proceedings due to non filing of reply by Abbassi and he has kept mum over the matter.
