Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani said that Pakistan attaches great importance to bilateral cooperation and relations with Arab countries.
Relations with all Muslim countries and especially with Arab countries are ideal.
A delegation of the Arab Parliament visited the Parliament House on Monday.
A delegation of the Arab Parliament called on Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani at the Parliament House.
During meeting, important issues including bilateral cooperation, institutional ties and parliamentary diplomacy were discussed.
On the occasion, the Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani said that Pakistan attaches great importance to bilateral cooperation and relation with Arab countries.
He further added that Pakistan’s relations with all Muslim countries and especially with Arab countries are ideal.
He said that Arab Parliament is very important for us as it is a common platform of Arab countries.
The overall role of Arab Parliament is highly commendable.
He said that Pakistan is ready to join the Arab Parliament as an observer.
The Arab Parliament provides opportunities to enhance cooperation with Arab countries, and parliamentary coordination will pave the way for future cooperation.
The Chairman said that there is need to further intensify inter-parliamentary coordination to understand and find solutions to the problems.
In this regards, training programs on legislation could be set up for the Arab Parliament. There is ample scope for assistance in the areas of manpower.
In this age of globalization, the importance of bilateral and multilateral cooperation has increased. He said that Pakistan values its relations with Arab countries for the protection of the rights of the Muslim Ummah.
He said that Pakistan attaches importance to coordination initiatives and projects with Arab world to enhance regional connectivity.
He said that Pakistan attaches great importance to initiative and plans for coordination with the Arab.
The Senate Chairman said that the visit of the delegation of Arab Parliament would take the relations to new heights. The Chairman Senate said that Pakistan foreign policy depends on the message of coordination, participatory development and socio-economic prosperity and peace.
He said that Pakistan always supports the legitimate rights of the oppressed Palestinians.
The Chairman said that in accordance with international law, they stand an independent and sovereign Palestine state.
He said that Pakistan is with oppressed Palestinians and would not recognize Israel under any circumstances.
The Chairman Senate said that like Palestinians, Kashmiris are also looking towards the Muslim Ummah.
He said that due to issue of Palestine and Kashmir, there is an atmosphere of unrest and anger in the Islamic world and Arab countries.
The Chairman Senate said that the resolution of Kashmir issues would be in accordance with the UN resolutions which are necessary for peace and security in the reign.
Expressing his views on the occasion, the President of Arab Parliament said that he is happy to visit Pakistan. Pakistan is an important country for Arab world.
He further added that the visit would help in paving the way for parliamentary cooperation, institutional and multilateral assistance. It should be noted that this is the first time that any non-Arab parliamentary leader has been invited to address the Arab Parliament.
Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani said that he considered it an honor to visit Arab Parliament and would soon visit the Arab Parliament with Parliamentary delegation.
A delegation from Arab Parliament visited the Senate Museum and signed a Memorandum of understanding.
On this occasion, the President of Arab Parliament also recorded his impressions in the guest book.
