Covid-19 claims 20 more lives, infected 682 people in KP

PESHAWAR: The Covid-19 claimed 20 more lives, highest per day deaths since onset of fourth way, and infected 682 people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on Thursday as positivity rate in Peshawar swelled close to 17 percent. According to a report released by the health department, 11 persons passed away in Peshawar. Peshawar, the hardest-hit district of the province, also detected 246 new infections, followed by Swabi 52, Chitral Lower reported 45 cases while 39 cases were reported in Mardan. 19 cases emerged in Swat, 42 in Mansehra, 13 cases reported in Nowshera, 21 in Dir Lower and 15 in Bunnu, and 33 cases reported from Kohat during the last 24 hours. The province has 6,084 active cases. So far, 4,624 people have died of infectious ailments in the province whereas the number of Covid-19 cases is 150,708. Of the total confirmed patients, 140,000 people have been recovered. A total of 10,013 new tests were conducted in the province, said the report. DLP Report
