Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry has stated that all the statements of Afghan Taliban hints toward their inclination towards forming an inclusive government in Afghanistan, which is very encouraging.
He went on to say that the situation in Afghanistan is extremely dangerous at the moment and there is a dire need of engaging authorities in Kabul. “If there will be a vacuum in Afghanistan, it will become headquarters for all the terrorist organizations in the world including Daesh or ISIS,” he added.
The minister feared that such a situation would not only be dangerous for Afghanistan but for the entire world. He said Afghanistan was a very complex and ethnically divided country. The theme of ruling the landlocked country exclusively might not work.
Pakistan was suggesting Afghan Taliban that there was a need of more ethnic groups’ representation in the government, he said, adding an inclusive government was the only way forward for having a stable government in Afghanistan. The minister revealed that Pakistan is already hosting nearly 3.5 million Afghan refugees, adding that the economy was not strong enough to bear more burden.
Fawad Hussain has urged the world community to come forward and play its due role in resolving the current crisis in Afghanistan. He warned that eruption of an international crisis cannot be averted if the world community closed its eyes towards the current situation in the war-torn country. He said the reservations expressed earlier by Pakistan about Afghanistan have proved true.
Fawad Chaudhry said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) should first choose its leadership before holding any political rallies. He said that PML-N and PPP are now regional parties and Bilawal and Maryam Nawaz did nothing in their lives.
The minister further said that PTI showed public its performance of last three years and asked Murad Ali Shah to show performance of PPP’s 13 years in power. Talking about wedding of Maryam Nawaz’s son. Fawad said that Sharif family can do wedding but public’s money should not be spent on these events.
