Pakistan Cricket Board is expected to take a ‘hard stance’ against Kiwi Cricket board at ICC meeting, media reports claimed Sunday.
According to media reports, PCB has decided to present its stance in front of Cricket’s governing body ICC and lobby against the New Zealand cricket board.
New Zealand had unilaterally called off their tour to Pakistan just before the inception of first match at Rawalpindi due to alleged ‘security threats’, causing severe reputational and financial loss to Pakistan Cricket Board.
PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja had lashed out at New Zealand’s decision saying that ‘they will hear us at ICC’
According to media reports, PCB has decided to contact influential players and commentators and convince them of Pakistan’s stance and ‘seek their support in this matter’.
The ICC board meeting will be held during the upcoming T20 World Cup. However, the date for the ICC board meeting is being finalized.
The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is scheduled to be played in the United Arab Emirates and Oman from October 17 to November 14.
