Chairman of parliamentary special committee on Kashmir Shehryar Khan Afridi has clarified that he was not frisked at New York and news circulating regarding matter are fake.
Earlier reports claimed that Shehryar was stopped for secondary screening when he failed to satisfy immigration officials at his first screening.
According to these reports, Shehryar was questioned for about an hour and was allowed to enter the country after Pakistan consulate’s confirmation.
Later, Afridi nullified these reports saying that his stay at airport was ‘part of the process’
Talking to a private news channel, he said that fake news targeted him because he is there to present Kashmir cause in front of the world.
He said that enemy is frightened by his mission, and therefore wants to harm his visit through information warfare.
