Youth shot dead in Mardan

Unidentified gunmen shot dead a young carpenter on Wednesday late night in the limits of City police station, police and local sources said.
The sources said that on Wednesday late night unidentified gunmen started firing as a result carpenter Ibraham got injured. He was shifted to hospital where he died due to injuries.
Later on the relatives of the deceased put the dead body at Par Hoti chowk and blocked Mardan Swabi road for all kinds of traffic.
The protesters demanded the immediate arrest of the killer involved in the murder. Hundreds of people participated in the protest. His relatives said his family didn’t have enmity with anyone.
On this occasion, angry protesters chanted slogans against the government and Mardan police. Addressing the angry protesters, former district nazim Hamayatullah Mayar and others said that the law and order situation in Mardan has become uncertain and businessmen were killed in broad daylight.
They said that the traders were suffering from severe insecurity and the government is involved in criminal negligence in this regard. They warned that if police failed to arrest the killers within three day then they would gather outside and besiege the district police officer (DPO) office. Later on the protester dispersed peacefully.
