91 polling stations to set up for LB election in Landi Kotal

Election Commission, Khyber publicized plan for setting up polling stations herein Landi Kotal for Local Bodies (LB) election to be scheduled on 19, December, 2021.
According to the district Election Commissioner 91 polling stations both for male and female voters have been planned across the Tehsil.
All the voters have been facilitated at their door steps and arrangements have finalized for them to cast their votes in nearest station.
As per Election Commission Landi Kotal has 163605 total votes comprised 90172 male voters while 73433 are female voters. In first phase, the election commission will conduct local bodies election in 17 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the returning officers, Landi Kotal, the entire Tehsil has been divided into 36 councils, containing 31 village councils and 05 neighborhood councils in the first ever local bodies’ election to be scheduled on December, 19, 2021.
For the Tehsil chairman 21 persons have filed their nomination papers although 824 candidates have submitted their candidatures for general councilors, youth, woman, minority and peasant/worker seats.
